Jones Intermediate School is a Leader in Me school. The Leader in Me is FranklinCovey's whole school transformation process that teaches leadership and life skills. These skills empower every child to be a leader. This process is rooted in the idea that we, as educators, not only are responsible for preparing each and every student to be college or career ready upon high school graduation we must also provide opportunities for students to identify and fulfill their potential.

The Leader in Me model recognizes that every child is capable. The model also recognizes that every child is a LEADER, has GENIUS, and ultimately, can lead their OWN LEARNING. At Jones Intermediate School, we help our students to achieve academically while we develop the whole person.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People is an integral part of The Leader in Me process. Key principles include responsibility, vision, integrity, teamwork, and collaboration.
